Neeeed nude

Last night I was cuddling up with a cup of goodnight-tea, a quilt and my cat to watch my ‘bible’, SATC. I just love the quotes, New York, the lifestyle that is portrayed and of course the humour! I actually catch myself laughing up aloud when one of them had a great one-liner. And I have to admit, I even tear up sometimes.  And the episodes where Mr. Big appears? Verrrry recognizable ;)

Anyway, I watched the episode when Berger breaks up with Carrie over a post-it. At the end of the scene I had an epiphany. I NEEEED nude shoes!!!!

So, no time to hesitate, ordered these right away!

Actually, I love these too! But they’re out of stock every time I try to order...   

                                           

Problem is, I’m very tall, 178 cm…Cute if you are a model, not so cute if you just want to survive daily life. So, when wearing shoes like these I literally rise above everyone… Very annoying when you have a ‘thing’ for high heels.

But it is like Carrie said;

 “It's really hard to walk in a single woman's shoes -- that's why you sometimes need really special shoes!”  

Right? ;)

BIGage

Hiding my frizzy wet hair, looking like a hiphopper, hihi!

Suiting up for a day at the spa with my girlfriends. Finally some ‘warmth’!

 I never was a big fan of walking in a robe, with no makeup, but after trying it once I was hooked. We always try to pick a spa that is near, so we don’t have to drive so far, but pick one that is not filled with people we know. I once spotted my supervisor from a company I worked for, in a robe (thank god!!) but it was really awkward! We kept trying to pretend we didn’t see him, ducking behind plants and staring in the other direction if he walked by, you can picture it... And the next day at work...Not so fun.. hihi

For this day was a comfortable outfit necessary. So; harempants, boots, easy tee, sunnies (to hide my makeup free face) and a really comfy coat, good to go!

I finally had an excuse to use my very beloved, but not often used, vintage doctor bag. It is way too big to use every day, so this was the perfect occasion! I keep wondering who used it. Maybe it was a young girl, living in the ‘30ies..Or maybe it was really used as a doctors bag...Who knows?

Some Spa essentials; 

Garnier Repair Bodylotion the Canadian formula (love the scent AND anti-dehydration), facial towels from Etos (remind me of the scent of Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb) flipflops, Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur Deep repair hair mask (saves my hair everytime), vasline, sunnies, Nivea Pure handlotion, bottle of water, towels and NO watch!! Jeeej!

A REALLY freezing blonde

A really ‘Freezing Blonde’ today! OMG, I couldn’t even feel the tips of my fingers and toes! I was shooting some pics with 'my favourite person'. He was taking pics of nature while I was enjoying nature sitting on a bench smoking a cigarette ;). After some really quick outfitpictures (which didn’t  work out the way I had in mind because of the cold, the wind and the sunset), we hurried back home, into the warmth!  I love my leather jacket and gloves, but after 10 minutes I was sooo jealous of everyone with REAL winter coats...

The only way is up...

 

I know! I hate them to... those pictures made in a mirror! But unfortunately I had no photographer to take today’s outfit pics. This is the reason I waited so long to start a blog myself. These were taken on my way to work. The good thing was that they were very easy to take, the only thing I had to do is take the elevator two times, haha! Every time I heard the ‘DINGG’ of the elevator I was scared one of my colleagues was on the other side of the door catching me taking photos with my BlackBerry.  That would be a little awkward...

So I can’t promise I won’t do any self made pics anymore, but I will try to avoid them. The only way is up right?

Just another black outfit, I just can’t resist wearing all black when the bad weather!

I’m wearing my DIY grey ankleboots (they are really grey, but look a little bit greenish in the first pic), grey H&M blazer, Zara tee, H&M Supersqin (just addicted to them), Vero Moda leather jacket and Divided shawl. In my hand my BlackBerry phone case, just a small purse from H&M but it fits my Berry perfectly!  

Daily Shopping

After my favourite perfume was out of stock I had no reason to think sane anymore and bought 5 bottles of Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming. It’s the deodorant version because the perfume is already sold out everywhere. Personally I’m not a  big fan of Tommy Hilfiger, but this perfume was the perfect everyday scent. Light, a bit sweet but not too much. So I will start again with a new very very long search for the next perfect scent. Any suggestions?

On my shoppingspree I also bought a new product for dark spots. Because of the sun and solarium I got these dark spots of hyperpigmentation on my skin. With make-up you normally don’t see anything, but it bothers me a lot. After trying all kinds of crèmes like Even Beter by Clinique, Biodermal, etc. I found this product at Ici Paris XL, Filorga Meso White. Filorga is a French brand, developed by a French doctor. And for the first time I actually see the difference! This product is only available at Ici Paris XL in the Netherlands. Ici Paris. If you want to learn more about Filorga in your country or just read more, click here. My personal tip; please use sunscreen! At least SPF 50,I know you will think you look so pale, but you will age much more beautifully AND without any dark spots! Trust me, you will regret it later!

I couldn’t resist these H&M leather gloves! I always love leather, and I already have two pairs but they fit so perfectly I had to take them home with me! +they were on sale, so no reasons to leave them at the store... ;)

Also I was triggered by a new product from Taft. Instant Volume Powder! It is a little bit weird applying powder in your hair, but it really works! You really need to use a little bit otherwise your hair will be very dry and stiff. And avoid rain, because it will turn your hair into cement! But it’s very easy to use, apply some on the roots of your hair and style as you like and DONE! VOLUME!

My all-time favourite; Clinique Superdefense. Couldn’t live without it! It has a SPF (as you have read that’s very important to me) doesn’t clog pores and is very gentle as all of their products.

And last, but absolutely not least because they are so HANDY the famous H&M clothing rollers! Very necessary if you have a cat and a thing for black clothes like me ;)
